The economist stated in an announcement that he was "thankful for the chance to have participated, excited about the prospects of the company, and look forward following their advancement".

The former Harvard president, who formerly presided over the prestigious university, stated on earlier this week that he would be withdrawing from public responsibilities due to his connections with the convicted sex offender.

Digital Correspondence

The recently released messages demonstrated that the economist corresponded with Jeffrey Epstein until the day before the financier's 2019 arrest for alleged sex trafficking of minors.

In additional comments, the artificial intelligence company expressed it accepted the economist's determination to resign.

"We acknowledge his numerous inputs and the viewpoint he offered to the directors," the organization commented.

Correspondence Findings

A collection of Epstein-related messages released by the House Oversight Committee last week referenced numerous high-profile figures in the billionaire's past associates, without suggesting any criminal activity by those people.

The messages indicated that the economist and Jeffrey Epstein often met for meals, with he often trying to introduce Summers to prominent international personalities.

He added that he hoped "to restore confidence and fix connections with the people nearest to me".
